Ingredients:
- 110 g butter, room temperature + extra for greasing the pan
- 0.5 cup granulated sugar
- 0.5 cups tightly packed brown sugar
- 0.5 cup + 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup premium flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 cup quick-cooking oatmeal
- 170 gr. toffee granules (about 1 tbsp.)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 4 tbsp. milk
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 175°C and grease a 22x32x5cm baking dish.
- Using a mixer, beat the butter with the white and brown sugars and 0.5 cups of peanut butter. Add the egg and vanilla extract. Sift the flour with the baking soda and salt. Mix the oats with the flour and fold the flour mixture into the butter mixture. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle with toffee pieces and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown around the edges.
- Mix powdered sugar with milk and the remaining 1/4 cup peanut butter until smooth, then spread the frosting evenly over the warm cake. Let cool completely and cut into square bars.
