Vitushki with dried figs

Ingredients:

  • 1 pie base
  • 1 cup dried figs
  • 0.5 cups dates
  • 0.5 tsp orange zest
  • 1.5 tsp orange juice

Preparation:

  1. Cut a 20cm square from store-bought pie dough. In a food processor, combine 1 cup dried figs, 1/2 cup pitted dates, a pinch of cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon orange zest, 1/2 teaspoon orange juice, and 1 tablespoon butter. Pulse.
  2. Spread the mixture evenly over the dough and roll into a log. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Slice into 1 cm thick slices and bake for 12-15 minutes at 190°C.
