Frozen Froscato Sunrise topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 1.5 cups orange juice + extra for mixing
- 1 bottle (0.75 l) Moscato wine
- 1 cup pink lemonade + extra for mixing
- 1/4 tbsp. + 1 tsp. grenadine
- 4 maraschino cherries
- Special equipment: 4 ice cube trays
Preparation:
- In a large measuring cup or bowl, combine orange juice with 2 cups of Moscato. Pour the mixture into 2 ice cube trays.
- Combine the lemonade, 1 teaspoon of grenadine, and the remaining Moscato in the same bowl and pour into 2 more ice cube trays. They will likely not be filled completely. Freeze for at least 2 hours or overnight (see Note).
- Pour 1 tablespoon of grenadine into the bottom of each of 4 glasses. Freeze for 30 minutes.
- Add orange ice cubes to a blender and blend until smooth, adding a little orange juice if needed. Remove the grenadine glasses from the freezer. Divide the mixture evenly among the glasses.
- Add lemonade ice cubes to a blender and blend until smooth, adding a little more lemonade if needed. Carefully spoon the lemonade mixture over the orange juice mixture in each glass. Garnish each serving with a cherry.
Note
If you freeze ice overnight, let the ice cubes sit at room temperature for 15 minutes to soften before blending.
