Soup with dumplings topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 6 cups lightly salted chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 0.5 cups minced or diced cooked pork
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp. l. sesame oil
- 16 pieces of wonton dough
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
Preparation:
- Place the cabbage in a large saucepan, cover with broth, and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Meanwhile, combine the pork, soy sauce, and sesame oil in a food processor. Pulse 3-4 times until the meat is finely chopped, but not pasty.
- Place 16 wonton squares on a flat surface. Spoon filling into the center of each square, leaving a 0.5 cm (1/4 inch) border (about 1 teaspoon per serving). Moisten the edges of the dough with water and pinch the corners of the wontons together at the center. Press the edges to seal.
- Drop the wontons into the simmering broth. Cook for 5 minutes, until soft and translucent. Remove from heat and stir in the green onions.
