Beer Bread with Bacon and Cheddar Cheese topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- Flour - 3 cups
- Granulated sugar – 3 tbsp. (35 g)
- Baking powder - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Cheddar cheese (grated) - a glass
- Beer - 1 bottle
- Butter (melted) - 4 tablespoons
- Chopped bacon - 2 tablespoons
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 170 degrees C, line a 20 x 10 cm baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the bacon and cheese, pour in the beer, and stir with a wooden spoon until smooth.
- Pour some of the melted butter into the prepared pan, place the dough there, and sprinkle more butter on top.
- Bake until done, about 50-60 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool before cutting into slices.
At room temperature, beer bread can be stored wrapped in plastic wrap for up to 3 days.
