Hot chocolate with spider webs for Halloween

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups of milk
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup dark cocoa powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 60 g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 3/4 cup mini marshmallows

Preparation:

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring, until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is smooth and steaming, 8–10 minutes.
  2. Add the chocolate and stir until completely melted. Keep warm.
  3. Place the mini marshmallows in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave until puffed, 10–20 seconds. Stir with a fork until smooth, then let cool slightly.
  4. Pour the hot chocolate into the mugs. Use a fork to scoop out some of the melted marshmallows and coat each mug in a zig-zag pattern from edge to edge, creating a spiderweb-like texture.
