Chicken paprikash with noodles topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 6 slices bacon, diced
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 sweet pepper, diced
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 tbsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp dried marjoram
- 700 g chicken legs, remove skin, trim fat and separate meat from bones, cut meat into pieces
- 2 cups lightly salted chicken broth
- 250 g egg noodles
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- Salt
Preparation:
- Bring a saucepan of salted water to a boil. Add the noodles and cook for the amount of time indicated on the package. Drain in a colander.
- Fry the bacon in a heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium heat for 2 minutes. Add the onion and bell pepper and fry for another 3 minutes. In a large bowl, combine the flour, paprika, marjoram, and 1 teaspoon of salt. Add the chicken and stir.
- Increase the heat to medium-high. Add the chicken and cook, stirring, until golden brown, about 8 minutes. Pour in the chicken broth, cover, and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 12 minutes.
- Stir in sour cream and parsley and cook for another 2 minutes. Serve the chicken paprikash with noodles.
