Chicken and 40 cloves of garlic

Ingredients:

  • 1 chicken carcass, cut into 8 pieces
  • 0.5 tbsp. + 2 tbsp. l. olive oil
  • 10 sprigs of fresh thyme
  • 40 peeled garlic cloves

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C.
  2. Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Rub it with 2 tablespoons of olive oil and sear it on both sides in a wide skillet over high heat. Remove from heat, add the olive oil, thyme, and garlic.
  3. Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour 30 minutes.
  4. Remove the chicken from the oven, let it rest for 5-10 minutes, slice and serve.
