Pork cutlets on the bone with sauce topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 4 bone-in pork chops (about 2.5 cm thick)
- Coarse salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Cajun seasoning without salt
- 3/4 cup wheat flour
- 2 tbsp. l. olive oil
- 1 tbsp (15 g) butter
- 1 large onion, cut into rings
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
- 1.5 cups lightly salted chicken broth
- 2/3 cup kefir
Preparation:
- Rub the pork with salt and Cajun seasoningPlace flour in a shallow bowl. Dredge the pork in the flour and shake off any excess.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the meat and cook for 2-3 minutes per side. Transfer to a serving platter.
- Add butter, onion, thyme, and a pinch of salt to the skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, until golden brown, 8 to 10 minutes. Add 2 tablespoons flour and cook, stirring, for 1 minute. Pour in the chicken broth, bring to a boil, and cook for about 2 minutes.
- Add kefir and meat to the pan. Bring to a boil and simmer over low heat until the sauce thickens, 10-12 minutes. Serve the pork chops on the bone with lemon cookies.
