Curry ketchup

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tbsp (15 g) butter
  • 1 teaspoon curry spice mix
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup water

Preparation:

  1. In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, sauté the onion with one tablespoon of butter until softened, 3 minutes. Add the spice mix. curry, paprika, and a pinch of cayenne pepper, continue to sauté for another 1 minute. Add the ketchup and water, bring to a boil, and simmer over medium heat until thickened, about 25 minutes.
