topcook.tomathouse.com

Ingredients:

  • 220 g softened butter + a little for greasing
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 and 1/4 cups flour, plus a little extra for working with
  • 1.5 tsp salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 heaping teaspoon of instant coffee granules
  • 240 g chocolate pieces (more to taste!)
  • Hot chocolate sauce, for watering
  • Caramel sauce, for watering
  • Vanilla ice cream
  • Whipped cream
  • Cocktail cherries

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C.
  2. Combine butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, salt, baking soda, and instant coffee. Gradually add the dry mixture to the liquid, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  4. Thoroughly grease and flour a 22x32cm baking pan or dish. Pour the dough into the pan and spread it evenly.
  5. Bake for 15–18 minutes until set (or bake longer if necessary). If you doubled the ingredients, bake the cookies for 20–22 minutes.
  6. Before serving, warm the chocolate and caramel sauces. Place a square cookie slice on a plate, top with a scoop of ice cream, drizzle with chocolate and caramel sauce, and top with whipped cream. Garnish with a cherry.
