topcook.tomathouse.com

Ingredients:

    Sandwiches

  • 12 slices white bread
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 8 romaine lettuce leaves
  • 16 thin slices of ripe tomatoes
  • 16 pieces of crispy fried bacon
  • 450 g thinly sliced roast turkey
  • Special device: 16 skewers

    Innings

  • Crispy potatoes or chips
  • Pickled cucumbers

Preparation:

  1. Toast the bread in a toaster or in a grill oven on both sides. Cut each lettuce leaf in half and stack into 8 neat stacks.
  2. Make a double-decker sandwich. Lay three slices of bread in a row on a clean surface. Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on each slice, dividing it three times. Layer one lettuce stack and two tomato slices on the first slice of bread, season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Then place two pieces of bacon on top of the tomatoes (if necessary, cut off the protruding edges so that the stack looks neat), the next layer is 55 grams (or 1/8 part) of the prepared turkeys (the edges should not hang down).
  4. Season the turkey with salt and pepper to taste. Do the same with the second piece of bread. Next, carefully place the second sandwich on top of the first one, with the turkey on top. Top the entire sandwich with the third piece of bread, mayonnaise side down.
  5. Pierce the sandwich in 4 places to form a diamond shape. Use the remaining ingredients to make three more servings.

Using a serrated knife, cut each sandwich diagonally into 4 triangles (the skewers should be in the center of each triangle). Serve with fries and pickled cucumbers.
